Catherine P. Hirsch, M.D.
Dr. Catherine Hirsch is a 3rd generation physician and a native of Mississippi. She has been practicing Gastroenterology on the Gulf Coast since 1988.
Dr. Hirsch completed her undergraduate studies at University of MS in Oxford. She continued her studies at University of MS Medical Center in Jackson where she received her medical degree in 1983. Dr. Hirsch completed her internship, residency and GI fellowship at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City.
Dr. Hirsch was Board Certified in Internal Medicine in 1987, and she has been a Board Certified Gastroenterologist since 1989. She has privileges at Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula and Ocean Springs Hospital in Ocean Springs.
Dr. Hirsch has a special interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease and has vast experience with the use of Biologics for treatment. She has a large pediatric practice for children and adolescents ages 10 and above. In addition, Dr. Hirsch also has extensive experience treating internal hemorrhoids with infrared coagulation, which allows many patients to avoid surgery.
On a more personal note, Dr. Hirsch enjoys golfing, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her friends and family.
